Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Assessments
We offer assessments to children, young people and adults
Getting assessed for ASC can be daunting. But it doesn't have to be.
Getting assessed for Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) can feel like a big step, but our role is to make the process comfortable, transparent and supportive. An assessment isn’t about labels; it’s about understanding yourself better and finding the right support to help you move forward with confidence.
We provide a calm, safe and reassuring environment where you can take things at your own pace. Our team listens carefully, values your perspective, and tailors the process to your unique needs — so you leave with clarity, understanding and the support you need to thrive.

Thorough, evidence-based assessments. Delivered by caring practitioners.
The tools used in the assessment are evidence-based. The assessment process is in keeping with the The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines.
Typically, this involves gathering background information, clinical interview (using Autism diagnostic interview [ADIr] where appropriate), questionnaire data, information from other sources (school, university) and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). The assessment varies depending on the age of the individual being assessed and their personal circumstances.
The assessment is carried out by clinicians accredited in the administration and interpretation of the assessment tools used. ASC is diagnosed in accordance with DSM V and ICD 11 criteria.
Ed, Adult being assessed"I have only positive things to say about London & Sussex Autism Assessments. From the initial contact to the assessments and diagnosis, everything was seamless. They were sensitive, kind, thorough in their explanations, and incredibly supportive from the very beginning. I will never forget Andrew and the team, as they truly changed my life. They gave me the skills and confidence to face the next chapter with strength and optimism. Forever thankful."
